2006 DogRock Riesling... The 2006 DogRock Riesling is a combination of wines from
two other vineyards and a small helping from Andrea’s vineyard. The problem arose on
New Year’s Eve 2005, when the scorching north winds reached 46ºC and burnt the fruit
from our vines. We salvaged a small parcel and it looked great. However, some friends had more
luck than us so we talked them into selling us a small parcel of wine so that we had something to
drink during the next summer. The 2006 wine is very intense lime and has enough flavour to last a month.
We can only claim a small credit for the wine but have no trouble offering it under the DogRock label.
